Default New FO: Endeavor v. Republic

Bases/commuting aside, which company would you recommend?

I don't know why you kids waste your time at the commuters. Just apply to United, Delta or American.

slow down cowboy. Fedex or UPS should be first. Let them get some experience hauling boxes before we trust them with the live cargo.

Go where it's easy to commute if you can't or don't want to live in base. Both companies are great. Endeavor you will make more money , but republic isn't that far behind. Upgrade times are going down here at endeavor and so are reserve times (just around 2 years upgrade and 6 months reserve, and going to continue to fall). We will have 27 new crj700/900 by the end of June. So flying is going to pick up. Both are great , but pick the one that hires you and can get you in asap for a class date.

I’ve been happy at Endeavor overall and I have friends who have been happy at Republic. Endeavor has generally good premium pay rules; Republic will pay you for Super Bowl Sunday just because. Upgrade times are probably similar now but Endeavor’s will likely be decreasing soon.

Do you have specific questions?

No specific questions, at the moment. Really just trying to get a feel for how pilots at each feel about the companies now and for the foreseeable future. Thanks for responding.

If that's the case, then it's a lot cheaper to live in some of YX's more junior bases. It might even make up for any relatively small difference in pay.
