What would you suppose would be the reason? Perhaps because working as a car salesmen is better? Maybe they earn more money? Whatever the reason it suggests that they have found a better life outside of aviation and one that is so superior that they would turn their back on UAL.

I spoke with a guy the other day who was laid off from UAL in 79 and never went back.

I could not Start out at the money I am making as a Truck Driver at any regional airline. I have 11000 HRS TT type SF-340 & BE - 1900. Benifitts are real good as well , However it is hard work. I would like to get back to flying , however I have a family that can't join the finaicial climb. I hope some kind of good flying job will come through. 20,000 a YR is an insult for anyone with a B.S. WTF with the airlines

Ticket prices wouldn't have to increase nearly as much if the airline execs could find a way to live without that $20 trillion dollar bonus every year. Seriously, did none of these guys take any econ classes in college?
