TBD, especially with regards to wholly owned regionals.

This is unequivocally and categorically false. That post on Aero Crew News is totally premature.

What it should say is IF the government decides to require certain forms of collateral, which at present there is no indication they plan to do, then it's possible Republic wouldn't qualify for financial relief.

Why would the government not take collateral? They made a decent amount of money off ATSB loans after 9/11.

Because the explicit objective of the legislation was to save jobs. Imposing restrictions on the money that prevent it from being used, thereby not saving jobs, is totally counterproductive to that goal. This money has been discussed as being grants, there's no reason to believe that has changed. If it weren't for a single video by our company, this wouldn't have been on anyone's radar. Requiring collateral affects the entire regional industry. Most don't have enough assets to put up as collateral. If there were concern among the regionals, you would've seen more work done prior to passage to change the language.

The legislation for the grants is left wide open to requiring collateral and equity, unfortunately. Sec 4117, Tax Payer Protection.

I'm aware it allows for it, but there's not any reason at this point to believe they will, for the portion of the appropriation that is tied directly to worker salaries/wages.

I gathered the loans could require equity, but the grants would not.
