Default A Cut Above: Stratus vs Cirrus

Has anyone worn both and have a preference? I currently have the Cirrus and it’s a great shirt, but it’s a bit thicker material than I like and I’m thinking of replacing with the Stratus. I’m based in the south and it seems more suitable to the weather I fly in 9 months out of the year.

Have both. Use the Stratus in the summer months, as it’s lighter. Also have one of the new Brooks. I like it, it’s somewhere in the middle, and it’s super soft. I’m not convinced on the durability, though.

I have both as well and enjoy them both. One of them, forgive me I dont have them in front of me, has a softer, heavier feel to it. Ironically it is the summer version in my closet.

Anyway, had them for well over a year and both still look and feel great. I dont think you could go wrong with either.

Nice. I’ll probably go with the Stratus then as a summer shirt and keep the cirrus for winter.

how is the sizing and durability of the Tropo? I see a lot of guys wearing it and it’s always piqued my interest. I’m just finishing a year of rotating through 2 Stratus tapered short sleeves. They’ve held up well but I would like to try something different and the tropo seems to have more of what I want. I’m guessing the somewhat thicker and stretchy material holds up pretty well. My only concern is the fit of the shirt. I know it’s fitted therefore tighter, but their size guide makes me think I’ll have to buy 2-3 different sizes and send the others back. For the taper fit I added 1/2 to the neck as they suggested and ordered the size 16 (I normally wore and currently measure 15.5 around my neck). But the tropo size guide has me in a 17, 17.5, or maybe 18 depending which metric I choose.
