I can't argue with you on that. My spanish it sketchy and my german is even worse (my French is "tres bon"). Yet, I am not trolling around on spanish or german aviation sites picking arguments. In any event, your point is well taken. I wish him good luck. American aviation is in need of multi-lingual pilots. It seems like we are always being catered to when we fly in foreign countries. I don't meet the medical standards for ICAO or JAA. FAA is the only one where I can get a Class 1 easy. It's ok I'm coming to realize I just have to forget about flying and go home. There comes a time when you realize if you keep trying to get what you want, you only got more to lose. I already invested enough money on flying and college and it's not worth investing anymore when my chances look zero.

ICAO probably isn't what you're meaning. You're most likely talking about either JAA or FAA. What is it you don't seem to have that would fail you? Europe, the middle east, and asia are so hardup for pilots so long as you already posses the ratings all you have to do is do the tests and checkride for your JAA.

You need to send an email to [email protected] He was a cfi while a citizen from Zimbabwe. He was my cfi and even thought classes at Baylor. He was then hired on at Pinnacle where I helped him do some paperwork ect. It was a real pain in the arse but a regional would hire so long as you don't jack around and get your hours.

Look into fish spotting out of Louisiana, radio relay, pipeline flying, powerline flying, tourist flying in Alaska ect. All of those offer easily 100hrs a month. Doing radio relay I flew over 200hrs in one month up and down the gulf coast in all weather with crappy equipment. It was fun but had its share of dangers.

Also check out pprune.com. It's a very "international" message board. You can talk to pilots from just about any country you can imagine. They know all the ins and outs as many of them have done what you are trying to do.

To others on here who are making slide remarks, including my joke I made, the purpose here is to educate and support pilots of all groups no matter where they are from. Not to kick whoever you can out of the pool to increase your odds .0001%.

They pay well and have sponsored candidates in the past.

Trust me I know how the Civil Aviation work back home. Altught most countries are part of ICAO a lot f them still have their own rules. Back where I from you can only wear corrective lenses as long as your corrective lense power is below -3.0. Mine is -4.75, so passing is out of question. I already had my talk to people about this back home to verify this. It is true they are despart for pilot in middle east, but that doesn't mean they let people fly who does not meet their medical standards.
