Skywest new-hires

Skywest guys/gals did you read the email from Bradford Holt today talking about hirring? There were no numbers for RJ new hires. Are we only hirring for the EMB? Or, did I miss read or missunderstand something?

All new hire fields (EMB too) were empty. The reason they are empty is becuase we have not hired them yet.

Skywest is not lowering their mins, but if you are thinking of applying... then apply. We'll see you up there.

I work at skywest, how else would have I got the email? It says for EMB 14 new hires every couple of weeks for months.

Brad mentioned in the beginning of his letter that some classes may be "short" due to the lack of qualified applicants and that SkyWest does not want to lower their minimums. So it may not be known the exact number of newhires in each class due to the difficulty of recruiting them. I think $19/hr. first year pay is going to need to come up a bit to attract applicants without lowering minimums.

32 RJ new hires for June 18th. After that date all the RJ new hire fields are blank.

True. they'll have to do something to keep up in MKE.

Look at the spreadsheet again...

Each CRJ systems class has slots for 45 FO's. Each class will be filled first by transitions, then by new hires... they simply don't know the exact numbers of transitions vs. new hires yet. But even if the entire class is filled by transitions, they would still have to hire 45 ADDITIONAL bro FO's to replace the transitions.

My guess...expect about 30 new hires and 15 transitions for each RJ class. Unless there is significant EMB downsizing planned that we don't know about.

At least you can spend time studying. I've been here almost a year and didn't get an award for the jet. I like the 120, however, I like the jet pay more.
