Compass?
 

Given that Compass has relatively high minimums, does that mean they're going to pay better? Or is the promise of a rapid upgrade enough to lure people with that kind of time to the standard $20-something per hour?

I understand that they're essentially hiring their first slew of captains right now, so it might be a hard job to get, especially for me with no 121 time. But it sounded like a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor somewhere.

Probably not, but I have yet to see a payscale for them yet.

Did anybody happen to see the starting pay for and Airbus FO at SkyBus Airlines. They reqiure 5000TT 1500 Turbine PIC in an airplane more than 20k lbs. All for 30k a year which does not start till after training!!

I hope this works. Somebody had posted the payscales for Compass. I don't know if it is accurate or where he got it, but here it is. If this link doesn't work, the thread is titled "Compass" and is on this forum under regionals.

Well, I would say it is accurate because I know the first year pay is accurate and FlyerJosh is not one to post B.S. :D

The payscales that I posted were accurate as of the date that I received them from somebody on the inside at Compass... There may have been some minor changes to them (I dont believe so, particularly since NWA is setting the pay, not compass management).

I don't have a copy of the contract (yet), but I'm trying to get one. I do know that some of the language is still being hammered out, but for the most part it sounds like an initial contract is in place. If I can get some details, I will post them here.

So probably in two years, Northwest will sell Compass and make it its own airline, then two years after that pull all of its flying, thereby forcing it to operate independently, and then...

In my opinion, yes. Our original Atlantic Coast Airlines contract was far above industry standard, pre-FLYi days. Contractual raises were put on hold (voted in by the pilot group) to try and stop the bleeding of cash after launching the new airline. I think we all know the end result... but the contract remained intact for the most part.
