Mesaba- Best to get crj or saab??

Hey everyone, I got hired by Mesaba a few weeks ago and was told my class date would be sometime in July. I was just wondering, should I be hoping to get the crj or the saab? i'm curious about what you guys think are the pluses and minuses of getting one plane over the other, thanks!

IMO if you want to upgrade at your first oportunity it will most likely be in the Saab. So if you fly the plane for a couple of years that should make the transition a lot easier.

Seniority is what matters most. The pay is the same in the FO's seat. Life is a bit easier on the jet as far as laziness goes. Your crew bag will last longer and you won't sweat as much. The Saab will build your skills much better, flying all day in the teens in the weather, 5-8 legs, with lots of round dials. The jet kind of spoils you and it is easy to let your skills rot. That comes around to haunt you at upgrade time when after flying the right seat of a jet for 3 years you take your first command in the left seat of the Saab-o-matic.

Some people here love the Saab. For me, I am doing okay with it, but prefer the jet and miss my Avro deeply. Either way, we have a great pilot group. You will have fun at work no matter what equipment you are piloting.

All the 200's will be MSP base. Saab you will get MEM or DTW. 3-6 months to see MSP.

The 900's are MSP for now (first 5) then DTW (18) then MEM (7) and the rest to MSP.
