Default Overnights w/ ASA?

Just curious if ASA has any good cities that you stay at overnight on your trips? I see ASA flies to Bahamas, Turks Caicos, Mexico, etc... Are those just out and backs or do you get to enjoy the islands at all?

I also have family in Myrtle Beach and Wilmington NC, are those overnight stops?

Both are overnights. I think that Myrtle is an overnight for the ATR.

On the 200 we don't have any bahama's overnights but there's an overnight in Monterrey Mexico. Some popular overnights are Fort Walton, Atlantic city, White Plains (and some people hate that one, I guess you either love it or hate it).... I WISH we had bahama's overnights its beautiful flying in and painful to leave after 30 minutes on the ground! There's also a couple canadian overnights but I havent done one of those yet so I don't know anything about it.

I left ASA a while ago, but some nice overnights-
Canada- Ottawa- very nice city and overnight as with Montreal. Toronto- you stay at the airport, so nothing to do.
Ft. Walton has been nice, depending on the hotel.
I can't remember them all, but some times I was surprised by overnights in towns that I thought were dumps, but turned out to be nice. We used to stay at a very nice hotel in Augusta, GA, for example. The area was kind of dumpy, but nice hotel. They had a happy hour for crew members on the roof some nights. Very nice breakfast in the morning.
As long as the hotel is safe and clean, and in an area with things to do I was happy. I found that some crew members would complain if they were in the best hotel in a great part of town in a city with lots to do because there was not a McDonalds across the street.

Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are 2 great overnights on the ATR. The Hilton Head hotel is a Westin resort that is RIGHT on the beach, it is great.

Little Rock is not a bad overnight. You stay about 5 blocks from the rivermarket scene where the nitelife is pretty good. Nice people and fun places to hang out all within walking distance. Oh, and DCA can be fun as well.

How bout Dothan, AL? Thats a real fun place... if you like boiled peanuts and, well... um...

Seriously, do you really have time to enjoy the city you are spending the night in or is it a mad dash to the hotel to get some shut eye for a couple of hours and back to the same plane you just shut down 8 hours ago?

Depends on the the pairing. when I flew at eagle ( ATR-42 ).... out of MIA we had a 4 day pairing with the first night in Nassau.... got in about 11pm.....didnt leave until 330pm the next afternoon.... then the next night in Key West ...got in about 1030pm... left at 3pm the next day.....then the last night in Jax.. in at 11pm.. out at like 9am........but that was a pretty premo pairing.... I commuted for RDU and that pairing was very commutable for me... so it really was good flying for awhile.

Had a pairing I bid out of JFK for awhile that had 19 hours on the ground in DC....was nice in the summer ... go to the Museums and such as we stayed right by National Airport....

Or HHI standups sucked.... in at 1045pm...out at 630am....

Really it just depends....some are good.. some SUCK!!!

How commutable are the pairings? One end, maybe even both sometimes? Say if someone was coming from Denver?
