Question on helicopter time.

Do the Regionals consider helicopter time worthless? If you are a dual rated pilot with thousands of hours PIC multi engine turbine in a helicopter with a few hundred hours of actual instrument and helicopter type ratings do they just not even bother to call you in for an interview?

many regionals consider helicopter time. Comair I know values the time. We have a large population of helicopter pilots here. Ex army guys are all over the place. Good luck with your search.

It's not worthless, depending on the regional. However, when I was applying around, nobody would touch me unless I met the FW requirements, which in most cases were 1000TT/100MEFW.

The few that I know of who are restrictive are ExpressJet (don't count it at all) and SkyWest (2 helo for 1 FW hour up to max of 500 helo = 250 FW). Of course those two are probably the most desirable regionals nowadays, so take that for what it's worth.
