It think it's around a year or so for the CRJ-200. You'll be on reserve forever on the CRJ-700. Reserve times might change now with the closing of MCO and GSO.

Do you know how long it approximately is for the CRJ-700? I was thinking of making the transfer over after training (when able seniority wise) for the better pay scale.

I don't have a number, but I've heard it is pretty long just because we don't have a whole lot of 70s. That might change with the -900s coming online, but who knows. I wouldn't jump to the -700 because of the payscale, it is only a few bucks more/hr. You will fly longer legs and it will be more productive, but in the end, you will be flying more on the -200 which = more money!!

Good point. I didnt think about the 200 runs equating to more flying, I might stick with that for a while, we'll see. Thanks.

Dude dont go to CVG. JFK is where its at!! Way better crews/senority. i was only on reserve for 3 months here. That might change with mco and gso closing though.

My friend was on reserve at JFK one month, however he had scheduled trips that one month, and sat on call only one day....... Things are a lil different now, we will see shortly with the bases closing and so many people transferring back to cvg

GSO and MCO are closing but I am sure Comair has to put the flying from these bases somewhere and so they are not Loosing flying just the bases so its all a wash I would think..
