AWAC Reserve
 

I have two friends in training, one is in the simulator now, one is just finishing IOE. Both were awarded a hard line as of Sept. 1st (DCA), one guy wants PHL and is one spot away from a line there. Just thought I'd throw it out there for those of you who PM me questions about AWAC/RSV all the time :) reserve went from ~1 year to 2 weeks overnight.

Sent my resume in yesterday. Let see what happens :o

I am hoping to be off captain reserve before I am finished with training.

AWAC is hiring and needs qualified pilots galore.

Anyone who has heavy, transcontinental experience is welcome to apply. The rest of you can keep working on your twin time! :D

Can I ask why?

Because majors are hiring.... we've lost a ton of guys to JetBlue, Compass, CAL, and I know of three that just got hired at SWA...and several to Spirit. Lost 37 people in June.. 37/~700=~5.3% of our entire pilot group, the future looks bright :)

Actually only 26 left in June, but it's still an incredible amount. I'm thinking most are due to Compass? I don't know if that will last or not. I'm hoping, at least for the next 6 months...

Just when things looked like they were really coming to a screaching hault, good for you guys over at AWAC.

Im in the class behind those new hires who all got lines, i think its lookin good for the 8 of us in our class. not sure about the 11 behind us. or the 15 behind them.

Anyone know if they are still holding true to the mins posted on their site? I have the TT but am well short on multi.
