anyone have any news or insight about TAB Express out of Florida.. i seen there advertisements guaranteeing training and a job for you through them if you sign a two year contract... i havent seen anything about them on here, wondering what pay, routes, domiciles, etc... for me, might be an inexpensive ticket

I have a friend who was working there as a instructor. I believe they have closed the doors. It never really got off the ground as advertised.....

Last I heard TAB was being sued by a group of students that had paid money up front, then were stranded without cash or flight time/experience when they closed the doors.

Tab is another one of those "pay for turbine time" deals. They have King Air 90's and Beech 1900's...and I want to say 1 or 2 West Wind Jets. Do it the ol' fashion way and CFI for a year. It will not only save you thousands of dollars, but you will learn MUCH MORE as a CFI then any King Air instructor could teach you. Yes, I know, you may have some near-death experiences with students...but you learn more from that then learning how to push buttons in a King Air (and I am speaking from experience)...Just some food for thought.

They are no longer in operation. Please, please, please NEVER do ANYTHING where you must pay upfront. You will pay for it dearly. Do some research on ATA (Airline Training Academy). They went Tango Uniform as well. TAB had a connection with them...

The general rule of thumb for flight training should be: "If it sounds to good to be true, it most likely is too good to be true"...

I agree with LAXROX. You will be surprised on how valuable the experience is from flight instructing. I am saying this because of experience.

TAB got their certificate pulled by the FAA b/c they were pulling parts from other a/c to keep their one 1900 running.

TAB owners are under investigation for fraud from the FBI. They never had an airline service period. They rented a checkin desk at Daytona Beach International for a while but never had any flights going in and out. They were in fact swapping parts like previously metioned. Many of the students got hung out to dry loosing 80,000 plus. I recently checked out a TAB Student for rental at my flight school and he told me all of this so i asume its real... Good luck man finding something else...
