I always thought it was going to be "Salvation Airways - Bringing you 37,000 feet closer to Jesus".

My vote on the 175's is they're going to Delta. I don't think CAL or AA is ever going to relax on scope (nor do I want them to) now that they've seen what can happen. I also think our 170 pay rates need to be top dollar this time around.

I'd really like to see a separate FO payscale.. 2nd year of $40/hr would be a nice start

I think once Bedford is rid of the 140's, he will say goodbye to AA altogether. Continental may have been a diversion, and an attempt to keep the company progressive in the eyes of Wall Street. The real prize though will be Frontier... I give that a "three years or less" time frame.

two weeks ago in my indoc class he was talking about how he thinks mainline unions will be giving up scope in order to protect what little bit of retirement programs they have left. if that happens then hell be able to replace all the 145's. he said that the 145's will be around for atleast 5 more years.

Long enough for my upgrade in the 145, followed by the company waiving the seat lock out of necessity, and I get a second type in the 170. I have heard that the AA contract is up for re-negotiation in the next 2 years. Remember, nobody has the foresight to keep up with BB. If they did, we'd have known there were going to be 70 seat airplanes at the last contract negotiations.
