I have a friend who wants to be one. She is looking at Republic, anyone know if they are hiring?

Lots of hiring for all three certificates. If she's purdy, send her to CHQ. Otherwise, RW and S5 can fight over her :)

Why would she want to shoot low in this entry level position. Major airlines would hire her off the street just as quickly as a regional. And they will pay her better, treat her better, send her to better destinations, and work her less. QOL is far better at a major carrier versus an express step child carrier.

I was an FA at a regional and a major. QOL at the major was TONSSSSSSSSS better. Better layovers, pay and pretty much everything.

How much do stewardesses make? More than a F/O ?

No. Poverty wages at the regionals, lower-middle class (barely) at the majors.

I flew with a flight attendant that went to UAL from a regional, she quit and came back. Said it suuuucked. Must've been pretty bad there. Can't speak for other majors though.

I dont understand what makes a person become a regional flight attendant rather than a major when both are hiring? I dont know much about it, but really........ how much do FA's make anyway, if the pilots making 30,000.......
