Im not sure I would agree with the term entitled for that reason alone but I do question folks when they are trying to get that first job but then state what they are NOT willing to do in order to get said job. I have made many sacrifices to get where I am, including relocating several times. I did it for both an entry into the field as well as for career progression. I would have loved to stay put where I started this journey but at the time, that was not an option. Sure, some are able to do it much like that 1,800TT fresh ATP regional FO who got picked up at Delta. But it is the exception rather than the rule. |

So far people that are saying no one should have an issue getting a job these days have qualified it by "plenty" and "a lot" when mentioning the available jobs out there. Some people are woefully out of touch to the current reality to low time pilots. |

I know this thread is in the regional forums but pilots on here complaining about having to CFI and waiting for a regional class date should look beyond passenger flying regionals if they want to move up the ladder quickly in this hiring environment or they can just wait for that regional to call.
Which proves my point, it is probably just as hard if not harder for low times pilots to find a job today than it was is the early 00s. While hiring at the Legacies is still up, the vast influx of new pilots, more than any time in history, is creating a bottleneck for the entry level jobs, which there are fewer of then there was back then. |

I suspect 91/135 operators presently have a 100:1 ratio of apps to jobs.
