American Eagle
For those that are trying to get a job with Eagle, let me say that all the gouges are right on so go and read those real good. Please make sure your paper work is in order or you will be sent home before lunch. It will be a long day the day of the interview depending on how many applicants so be prepared and don't ask them when they are going to send you to lunch just let them tell YOU when to go to lunch. The F100 sim is AWESOME and Bill is an excellent individual. Waiting on the call this Friday so keeping my finders crossed. Good Luck to all of you.
PS: Don't lie to them, they will find out. |
The F100 rocks..... I did mine the F100 and had the same impression as you.... Bill the sim guy was great too. What base you going to? good luck
|
I am picking ORD for base and hope to get the ERJ not that I would complain if I get the CRJ it's just a little more senior meaning more reserve time :( I'll be going to the Aug 20 class if offered the job. Anyone else in that class??
|
I am going to be in the august 6th class. Im also going to be in ord. I am looking for some roomates and also wondering if there is anyone else in this class.
|
Welcome aboard!
|
Welcome Aboard Guys!!!
Good luck in training!! |
I am looking at putting out serious resumes and applications in the next few months. American Eagle is my first choice due to the Florida/Puerto Rico base. Can any of you AE folks give me some insight on:
Routes and aircraft flown out of SJU/MIA Housing/crash pad cost for SJU/MIA Secondly, because I will be looking at other options if I can not land AE, how does some one get this type of information? I have searched all over AE's website . Thanks! |
you want sju? man they would love you, thats typically their most junior base. ATR seems like a fun airplane too my buddy flew it at asa and loved it
|
I flew the ATR42 for AE long ago.... very nice plane to fly.
|
I'm with you guys!
Eagle is definately my first choice. I have flown with them on many occassions and have had the opportunity to meet a good few of their pilots. Most of the time the junior guys are very optimistic about their future there and the good fortune that seems to be coming in the near furture for upgrade times! Plus, im a Texas boy and the option to get the base of your choice is of great attraction to me, plus ITS EAGLE......unless something really gnarly happens in the future, its probably a really good regional job to land. Of course this is from an outsider looking in, is there something that i don't know that you Eagle boys want to tell me? |

On the bright side, their contract isn't bad, and it's a very stable job...if you don't mind a stable FO position. |

They use whatever is available... some people have gotten the SAab sim but most get the F100.

If the "Sim Guy" is Bill R., don't believe a word he says. He interviewed me eight years ago, and HE LIED. Plus he drinks too much and smokes cheap cigars.
Hey, Bill, can I bum a smoke? Oh, and while you're up- :D Welcome aboard, guys. |

99% sure they do provide lodging...and single-occupancy even, if I'm not mistaken - which I certainly very much could be!!

Iowa Farm Boy- Do you still live in Iowa? Im hopping to move back pretty soon. Send me a pm if you can. Maybe we are from the same area.
BTW: Im at 500/100 at a current 121 company. What are the chances of me getting on with Eagle? Im attending a seminar within the month. I have also applied already just haven't herd anything. |
I am also VERY interested in American Eagle because of the Miami base and I live in Orlando. If I worked for Eagle how easy or hard of a commute would if be from Orlando to Miami or Even Orlando to Dallas?....
|
800/100...............
|
