I'm not trying to sound conceded I just know I would be an asset to a company. I am interviewing the airline as much as they are interviewing me. Anyway, thats why I want to know first hand about these types of places to work at before I bother applying. I mean c'mon, I have read about people failing checkrides and getting hired which I think should be a red flag. If you cant pass a checkride maybe there is reason to believe that the individual has a deficiency somewhere. Just my opinion. Sorry for the long winded post.

Please don't come work for Colgan, I don't want to fly with your cocky ass.

You need to fail a checkride to knock you down a peg or two.

No doubt, he will fail somewhere. Hopefully it isn't with a full boat of passengers on board...........

Hmm...just a thought before you lose friends here - my brother is a Marine and I can tell you that Civilian training is not the same as Military training. Not all instructors are perfect, not all students are perfect, and not all Examiners are perfectly fair.

And everyone has a bad day once in awhile. You do too. I'd say that is my deficiencey as well as yours and the next guy...

Allright, aside from my initial post, I would like to say this:

The fact that you never failed a checkride doesn't mean a fly's fart about you as a pilot. If you are asked if you ever failed a checkride in an interview, it's not to see if you did. It's to see how you answer the question. Because the people interviewing you are the people that will potentially be flying with you. Nobody wants to fly with somebody with a god complex. You need to be as worried about yourself as you are about other people. You won't be a safe pilot otherwise.

Of course we all have bad days. I have had plenty of them. I think there are some very over sensitive people here. I didn't mean to ruffle some feathers. But come on, raggin my spelling? Give me a break. Plenty of typos on this forum. And by no means do I think I am GOD or whatever you think, I am just confident. I have just seen many pilots get hired with numerous checkride failures, just an observation. Nor do I think I should be hired by Delta tomorrow, just relax there people, don't read so much into the almighty written word, Jeeez.
