Gojets fined??
Rumours have it that gojets has been fined $66 million for not doing a mandatory inspection on the landing gear system. The inspections was signed off, but FAA found that they had never been done.
Asked an FAA safety inspector based in STL and he said he couldnt comment since it was under investingation.. Details anyone?? |

By the way, I jumpseated from IND to STL today on the same flight as Miss EH from our TSA class. I'm still hoping she and Miss JC join the ranks of CHQers. |

Is go-jet a united express carrier? I read in the paper today that a United Express carrier had a landing gear door fall off and land in a residential neighborhood. Nobody was hurt!

Nope, you are wrong. Try United.
Either that, or I was being sarcastic. |
With the fines the company might try and pinch the employees. Maybe we'll see how well they protect that contract.

I have to 2nd that! My hat goes off to most of our mx guys who do so much with so little time and additional mechanics that are needed. |

Did gojet get a contract? I haven't heard much about them lately, but last I heard was that they are in negotiations. Either way, I am sure they won't go under. Although, it would be a good thing.

Hulas would probably sell off the TSA assets before he liquidated gojet. He'd want to get rid of the folks who won't bend over for him. |

I thought I had been hearing online that the go jet pilots hate thier jobs more than the TSA pilots hate theirs
Maybe I read that here cant remember |
no, somehow the gojet pilots seem to always say how much they enjoy their jobs, and how the industry is great to them. I kinda have a hard time believing that given that no-one i've met has nice things to say about that group. Maybe they don't hate their jobs more than TSA pilots because when TSA was furloughing people, they were getting interviews for those nice captain positions @ gojet.

I must be simple minded, I cannot see how the like their jobs.
I know what I have, and I am living a pretty much happy life with that, and there is room for improvement, and it is many times better than what they have. Who knows Brain washing? |
Don't believe it until it's in writing...
