Colgan and ALPA

Hey guys,
I'm a First Officer on the Beech 1900 here at Colgan. I am writing to encourage everyone to vote. If you have not received a ballot, please PM me and I can help you work through that simple process, but that has to be taken care of by the 16th. Voting ends the 21st, but vote today. ALPA won't fix all of our problems, but atleast we can be unified and work to be treated like professionals. I hope you all feel the same, that we deserve better.

Dudes from other airlines, post some love- show some support, tell these guys first hand that we need to make this happen.

Like Batman said, VOTE! Every single vote is important, the more votes the stronger the message we said next tuesday. If your on the fence call members on the O.C. and speak with them. They are fellow Colgan pilots who will have to deal with the outcome the same as you. They know the issues we Colgan pilots face on the daily basis.

Some things to keep in mind:

The Colgan letters that Mike issued all of us, they never admitted any issues here at Colgan which we need to have addressed. In other words they admitted nothing so nothing willl change if this is unsucessful. "Your work rules are quite impressive" remember that all?

Colgan street Captains. They already put out a memo last week saying Saab street captains are coming. While this may be necessary, who will make sure this is done in a fair manner? Who will watch management to make sure they only hire what they need, who can try to bypass pay to those senior FO's next on the list?

Pinnacle owns us everyone, Pinnacle management is not someone you want looking out for your best interests, because they look out of their and their shareholders best interests. Outstation basing is slowely going away, look around the writing is on the wall.

My issue with calling one of them, is all they do is B!tch and complain about the same things. They are really pushy, and very intrusive every time I have talked with them. It's really ennoying.

I would prefer to talk to someone OTHER than a Colgan guy. Anyone else feel this way?

I left Colgan back in May and I really wish ALPA would stop leaving those stupid automated voicemails... and stop sending all their propaganda to my house as well

Colgan thinks we have it good here, but we know whats up.

But voting ends soon, and I hope you guys all make the right choice.

I can't send you a PM, and I didn't get a ballot.

Call someone on the O.C. if your eligible to vote and didn't get a ballot. Do it quick if you want to be able to vote, less then a week left and it takes about that long to get another ballot. Go to www.alpa.org/colgan/ and call an O.C. member. I just talk to an OC member today about these issues, call Matt 630-710-0545 I'm sure he'll help.
