When are you going to make a payscale announcement?

the problem is the mediator is going to decide our pay for the 900's. company didn't like what we showed them, and we didn't like what the company showed us. so per alpa agreement a mediator will decide the pay. we are still going for more though with our contract negotiations. we should know in a little while what the pay will be, but i don't expect it to be great. they will look at all the 900 operators and find an average between them and call that our payscale. some companies payscales help us, while others hurt us. thats why we will still fight for our new contract.

ATL is going to go SUPER SENIOR. It looks like we all are going to get checked out on this airplane though becuase they talked about tying the network together.

i know, this is a sweet deal for both of us, now i am not afraid to put in for upgrade!! :) and i should be able to hold mem capt pretty easy.

Hey PCL_128, hows you feel about the Tranny now?

:D

On another note - ANOTHER DCI carrier in Hotlanta?!?!

Window_Seat 08-15-2007 11:35 AM

If the pay isn't going to be great, and the workrules are ****ty right now, what are you so excited for? Sounds like some SJS.

Lol, how about CVG? I'm surprised ASA doesn't have a base there, they have their little section of concourse C. Same with CHQ. Heck, why don't all the DCI carriers have bases in ALL the ATL hubs?! Great for Delta! Anyone else want to move to JFK?

You guys can hear the sarcasm right?

PinnacleFO 08-15-2007 11:47 AM

he is excited becuase he is not going to bid atl, we are excited becuase there will be a bunch of people in DTW MSP AND MEM that will eventually go downthere moving us up the captain list.

Bumm 08-15-2007 12:21 PM

So wait, when are LAX and SLC going to open up?

ASA, Freedom, Shuttle America, SKW, Comair and now Pinnacle. It's a good business decision on DAL's part. I guess, "bite me once shame on me, bite me twice.........................!" (i.e. Comair in CVG)

Congrats guys, see you in line on Echo.

Question for Pinnacle line holders...

What is the attrition rate? Will qualified new hires have a shot at upgrade with 100hrs in company aircraft in January?

Heck I think you have a shot at that now, provided you have the upgrade times.

Inbluskyz 08-15-2007 04:10 PM

I'm qualified, but Pinnacle now requires 100 hours in company aircraft before being awarded an upgrade class. Looks like I won't be at that point until January. Just wondering if the opportunity will exist by then.

SJS?? come on man, read the post and think for a minute before you throw some response up.

this is what i ment by being excited. There are a lot of senior guys that commute in from fl, nc, sc, and easter tn. and a lot of those guys are chomping at the bit to fly out of atlanta instead of pressing their luck with just 3 flights a day to commute to mem. with a lot of the guys ahead of us gone i should be able to hold mem in a couple of months. the reason i was afraid to put my bid in for captain was if the first base to open was lax and they started displacing by seniority, i would be at the bottom of the list on the capt side (however after looking at the seniority list a little closer i see there are about 20 captains with seniorities below me.)

rumor is that it will be 1 per month for 3 months, then 4 per month for the next three. and there will be announcements for more 900 flying out of slc, and lax... remember the dot announcement. i don't think we will be flying to yvr from atl.

Nope, only SLC and LAX.

BoilerUP 08-16-2007 01:33 PM

...I was kind of making fun of Saab's comment about XJT being left off the DCI list.

They were left off that list because you folks don't fly in ATL...
