Air Nui and Interisland Airways?
Appreciate the gouge on Pacific Wings. Any similar info on Air Nui or Interisland Airways? Pay, schedules, working conditions?

Kim (Haole) Anderson
Can anyone on the islands help me to find Kimberly Anderson who used to work for Mahalo?
She was known as Kim Haole before she was married and according to the FAA register she still lives in Hawaii and flies the 737. We met on an ATR course at Flight Safety in Houston in 1996 but lost touch since. Any leads would be appreciated. |

I am flight instructing part-time at the University of North Dakota while finishing school.
As far as flight instructor jobs in Hawaii, I'd check to see if the Honolulu Community College Aviation program is hiring. Call the Pacific Aerospace Training Center to find out... 808-837-8095. Their flight program is based out of the Kalaeloa Airport (old Barber's Point) though, so unless you live on that side of the island, it is quite a drive. HCC is no longer dealing with UND. They are now contracting through Galvin Flight Services. They are flying brand new Diamond aircraft. Of course there are other flight schools on the HNL south ramp. http://www.wecanfly.com/flyhi/fbo.htm On the neighbor islands you may find some FBO's looking for instructors, but those are typically harder to sustain work. There are some tour companies that fly Cessna's of various models (172, 206, 207, 208) but you most definitely need to meet part 135 minimums first. propfails2FX Im pretty much certain that hawaiian isnt hiring, cuz they still have some pilots on furlow. Island air and aloha I believe are hiring, they arent hiring a lot but at least its something.... Turns out I have some connections for both places, Im gonna see if I can get anything out of them... I have no idea about Air Nui and Interisland Airways |

The first place i called when I got home was HCC only becuase I got my private there and started my instrument, that was when they were still affiliated with UND. I talked to Ralph for a while and asked if I could rent a plane but since they have transitioned to diamond (which i have no experience in) I couldn't rent one. I live in Ewa so its only about a 10 min drive to kalaeloa.
Interisland Airways, I believe, is owned by TransAir. I think TransAir had a F/O pay-for-training type of thing going ($10,000?)... I'm not exactly sure. That's just what I've heard. |
