You have to share a room with someone during training? How long is it?

If you live nearby, not a bad idea at all. A car would improve your QOL somewhat. But if its more than a 5-6 hour drive, I'd say forget it. Remember, you'll only be there for 6-8 weeks, and as I said they positive space (aka free ticket!) you home every weekend. I urge you to take advantage of this. You'll want to chill out on weekends, trust me. Not to mention you'll want to get out of those depressing surroundings.

I'd recommend driving - even if it is a lengthy drive. There's anything and everything within a 10 mile radius - so you're not limited to Good Eats and Subway. Leave your car at the hotel on weekends and have them PS you home. The way I see it is you are basically thrust into a "summer camp" atmosphere where nothing is familiar. If you have your car, that is something that is part of your normal life and you may feel a little more comfortable.

Yeah, it's not that bad. Once the first stanky deuce is dropped, the ice is broken and it's not bad.
