PSA and Charlotte

I start training 9/10, any info on lastest Jr Base assignments? Would like to bid on Charlotte, I know reserve may be longer but thats not my biggest concern. Anybody currently live in the Charlotte area, areas to live in or avoid??? If I don't get Charlotte how long will it take to get reserve out there??

I lived in CLT for about 10 years, and am still only an hour away. It's not a bad city to live in.

If you go south of the airport about 10-15 minutes to the Steele Creek/Whitehall areas there are a lot of apartments, as well as new homes and townhomes. This area is growing and has a lot of new restaurants, bars, shops, movie theater, etc. I lived in this area when I flew for US Express (CCAir) and could be in the crewroom within 20 minutes if I had to. It may be a bit longer now due to some road closures for the new runway construction, but it is still one of the best areas close to the airport.

I lived here http://www.apartmentguide.com/apartm...yOverview.aspx for a short time before getting a house, and they were nice apartments as of 1999. There are a lot of others in the same area also, some newer, nicer, and more expensive.

Good Luck!

Charlotte is the coolest city in the SouthEast. Welcome. You will enjoy the area.
