American Eagle Mins Reduced?

Just wanted to know if AE has reduced their minimums to the general flying guys from their website posting of 1000/100 to lower total time?

I saw this post under a "College Career Fair" they are attending on Oct 3, 2007

To meet the qualifications under the current agreement between AE and FIT, interested pilots must have 400 hours total time, 100 hours multi time, Bachelor of Aeronautical Science, Aviation Management or Aviation Meteorology with Flight Option, 3.0 GPA, and a letter of Recommendation from Dean of College of Aeronautics.

So if they are "this low" for the school, have they come down for the "general public's applications"? I was on a layover in MIA on the 13th, one of the AA pilots told me he was in DFW for training, ran into the Eagle class of 25 new hires, and on day two, only 8 showed back up. He said AE is "dying for F/O's" right now....

I use to work for them, as a F/A back in '96-'97. I should be done with all my ratings/time by Christmas.....I thinking of re-applying as a pilot with around 500/225....just wondering if it's worth a shot....

Any input from current AE guys would be great.....

Personally would like to see them hold steady on their minimums.

I understand those are the mins for that specific school, that's why I posted the orginal question of are they reducing any from the 1000/100 for the "general pilot", since they are cutting off 600tt for students from that specific school.......just seems like slashing 600tt is alot off the top, to be a graduate of that school..........

800/100. Holding steady from what I hear. Have a few CFI buddies hired in DFW.

Mins are reduced for certain flight school agreements. ATP I know has 400/200 or 500/100. I am sitting at 500/350 right now......thinking about applying to Eagle or Expressjet......still not sure which one.

They're dying for pilots, but they won't even offer me an interview. That's life in the regional airline business I guess.

I'm not an AE guy, but one would guess that if you were a former employee and left on good terms, it may definitely be worth a shot. what do you have to lose?

I left due to my "furlough notice" ref an upcoming planed AA Pilot Strike (which never occurred)....So I went ahead and gave my 2-weeks notice, left, and went to work for UAL. So in fact I did leave on good terms, and I do have a 4-yr degree.....I think I might goto their career fair in Oct, since it's like a 20min drive, and talk with the recruiter and see what they say.
