There is a Pilot Job Hiring event in Albuquerque Sept 15th. I have my application on Airline Apps mostly filled out and ready to submit.

The biggest thing I am having trouble with is finding a complete driving record. I have had no offenses in my current state, but at least 2 (possibly 3) in Texas and Florida. It is the one thing preventing me from submitting and being ready to interview at their event. I have ran a search on google "Driving Records" and get a lot of different companies to search for you. Does anyone here know which outlet Eagle uses so I can get an exact replica of the information they will end up getting? I am not intending to slip anything past them, I just want to make sure all my info is in perfect agreeing order.

I can not remember every information Airline Apps wants me to input before excepting the line item, otherwise I'd have at least something in there.

I think they still want a copy of your driving record from the state which has issued your driving license. Most, if not all, states now have access to a unified database, so your speeding ticket in ME shows up on your CA record. If the record you supply them, (which you must acquire ($7(?) for the TX 5 year record) andbring to the interview) shows less info than you disclose, bueno! If there's something on the record which you did not disclose on the AirApps form, woe is you.:(

The background check will find all of your dirty little secrets (traffic court or worse), so the key is to provide as much as you can to them in the begining. The recruiting department can help you if you are honest from the begining and since they are good people, they will. The problem you run into is if you give them a clean driving record and you have issues on another one. The background check will look at the National Driving Registry (NDR) so I recommend finding a record service which references the NDR so there are no surprises. I know of people who's records have gotten switched and there are things on their record they didn't do. Better to find out before AE does

does anybody knows if Puerto Rico is included in the National Driving Registry? I still don't meet the minimum to apply for a regional but Im starting to put everything in order now to avoid any problem to when I apply. I just went today to the Driving Registry here in Puerto Rico and they told me they only keep records for the last 3 years for any driver, but I dont know if the National Driving Registry keeps a record for the people down here in PR. PR is not a State but we are a commonwealth of the United Staes so I dont know how that works with the National Driving Registry. Anybody knows?

Dunno what the HR guys want, but if the only D.L. you have ever had is the one from PR, then the PR record should be kosher.

I went to consumer reports to check out services for back ground checks. They gave Net Detectives a good rating. I purchased it and found nothing on my self. Driving records cost extra. I guess I would not recommend using it. I will go to my local DMV and just get the record they have and see what comes up.

I would still purchase an actual background check just to see what they come up with, but I highly suggest NOT googling and going with a random company. I wasted 29 bucks :(
