ASA and Republic question
I interviewed at ASA last wednesday and was offered the job and given a 9/10 class date. The day I got back from the interview I got a call from Republic wanting an interview... I like both companys and I have done pros and cons on them both. I would like to hear some opinions from other people on what they think about both companys and whether or not you guys think I should take the interview with Republic. Thanks...

Aircraft is assigned withing the first couple days of training at ASA. The number of ATR slots is usually a lot less than the number of CRJ slots. ATR is given to the youngest guys/gals in class, since age determines senority within each class. Usually this number is somewhere from 2-4. A buddy of mine who is 23yrs old was assigned the ATR back in April, while another friend who is 21 was assigned the -200. Anotherwards, it's a crap shoot if your young. Not sure how many people are getting assigned the -700 these days.

Im in Indoc here at ASA, we had 14 guys in our class, 4 got the ATR and 10 of us were awareded the CRJ 200, there were no 700 slots....I am the youngest on the jet, and came 1 slot from getting the ATR, mosty of teh guys in our class are 30s and 40s, I just turned 26....anyways , it s a good place, just need to get this contract squared away, the training dept, is awesome as well. Good luck.

Definitely interview w/ Republic. IMO, this is a better company going forward, and offers more domiciles. ASA has only ATL and the travel benefits on Delta are getting worse on Dec 1

My opinion? RAH has a stronger future...but best of luck - you always need a little bit of it in this industry ;-)

I think you are golden with those times.
I always tell people to check out my previous post. It's on my interview experince. PM me if you have any questions. http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/sh...light=republic |
RAH definitely. I believe this past month ALL but one of their pairings were 4 day trips. I have a bud from college there and he says it's ok but would have liked RAH more. Also RAH has an Atlanta base in the 170 that is rather junior.

A FO passed on an upgrade award to go to ATL as a FO. And he is like 10 out of 40 if that tells you anything. I think there might be 2 guys that were hired this year there |
