Republic Interview

I got an interview with Republic on 9/12. I have read some of the forums on this site and aviationinterviews.com but am just wondering if anybody can give some insight. It will be my first 121 interview and I'm pretty nervous. I like the company and think it would be a good place to be at.

What are your times like. i heard its not a fun interview but just be yourself and do the best you can. whats the worst they can say. sorry try again later

you'll get the standard tech exam (basically stuff from the ATP written) another test that's basically a personality profile test, and the interview.

there'll be a HR person and a captain. you'll get the standard "tell us about yourself," "why do you want to work here," and "tell me about...," questions from the HR person. the Capt. will ask a couple system questions about the last AC you flew, or as you toe explain the system if it's a nAC they aren't familiar with.

then if you're prior 121, you're done. everybody else gets a sim ride, which i know nothing about (former 121)

be confident about yourself, and have a good handle on your knowledge. you'll have to put an effort in to not get the job

I would not go into the interview counting on not doing the sim if prior 121.

It is hit or miss on this. Everyone, prior 121 or not, in my interview did the sim.

I had over 3000 hours, current 121, 3 type ratings, and I flew the sim. Warm up with Microsoft Flight Sim or any PCATD and you'll be fine. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Good Luck.

don't count on not doing the sim if you are 121. I was 121 and had to do it and it broke. So my interview group was either 121 guys or Delta Academy. The 121 guys were terrified of the PCATD or whatever the hell it is called. They made you do engine out dead foot crap. After 2 years away from a multi reciproacting engine you are like huh?

yeah i just heard that the pilot recruiting office is having a really hard time finding the 300 pilots they need by years end. So just show up relax, seem happy to be there, and dont say anything too weird or convicting and I would put down 100 bucks that says you get hired! Good Luck!

dont worry about the interview show up with your brain and youll be fine. also if you crash the sim dont worry just keep doing what you were doing the thing is so touchy that it doesnt take much to crash it.

Shoot the ILS into IND over and over and practice going missed to hold. You'll be just fine. I used flightsim 2004 and it was exactly the same. The interview wasn't bad at all we actually had a good time.
