No insult taken, but i will clarify some of the problems in your statement to help you understand what i was saying. About (70-80%) of our pilot group wasn't around 7 plus years ago when our current contract was signed (it was signed at the beginning of 2000!!) so the majority of the people this company has ****ed off weren't here when that contract came down the pipe line.

As far as the pay rates, we DID DEMAND comeptitive pay rates. and when we turned them in to the company they just laughed. and when they sent us their pay rates we just laughed. so per our standard new equipment clause in our alpa contract a arbitrator will decide the pay rates for us.. management wont get what they want, and we wont get what we want. what will happen is the arbitrator will look at other operators rates for the 900 and then will find a "happy medium" and ASSIGN us a rate... lucky for us is that the rate will be assigned before we have a contract so it wont be binding for the next. so once again we will demand more pay than what the arbitrator will give us.

So to answer your question we will not fly the 900s for 200s rates.. we have no say in our pay rates for the 900's at this point. neither does the company. its all in the hands of the arbitrator.

The reason you don't understand my post is because you are trying to tie it to mesaba, which is not the case. so, i guess what i would say is what is your point?? you have been at mesaba for just a couple of months and were not there when that contract was signed, just like i wasn't at pinnacle over 7 years ago when our contract was signed. of course your pay rates are more, your contract was signed in 2004, more than 4 years after ours was signed.. think of it this way, 1 year after mesbas contract had started, ours became ammendable.

no rj85fo, we had this discussion several months ago... :) i will refresh your memory. what i am saying is people have accused the pilot group of taking cuts to get new flying, which is untrue. this proves once again that pilot groups have no effect on getting new business, good management is what grows the business. you guys taking the concessions didn't get you the 900 flying, the fact nwa was going to buy you guys is what got you that flying.

To all you Pinnacle guys that are saying you weren't there when they signed the contact back in 2000.... you chose to accept that POS by working there, that's worse than being there and signing it. People just go there because they have 200 hours or a Jet U degree with nothing else to do with it.

from what i can tell you work at skywest?? and are you ex-pinnacle?? you are starting to sound like travel junky, and almost all your post are just pinnacle bash sessions... just curious..so if you work at skywest are you still there after agreeing to a 10cent raise for brasilia fo's? if so then you are a hipocrite,, and whats worse is if were there and voted for it. i didn't go to jet u, i came to pinnacle with over 1000/200.. i wanted quick upgrade, good seniority fast, and a chance to move on quick.. while i am here i will be as big a thorn in managements side as i can be,,

Airsupport & PinnacleFO it may not be my biz but, you should care about growth and the new 900 flying. You guys know the stupid contract games mgt plays. You guys must be mentaly rising above it all to go to work. At the very least you guys have the job so many people on this forum dreamed they had. It is a good job, that's why we fight so hard to keep it this way. I love my job. I'm not in tune with the goings on as much as RJ85FO for a reason. I try to seperate myself from the reason I stay and why I should leave. Anyway, we are rooting for 9E.

i want this place to succeed. i want pinnacle to grow. you haven't read to many of my post or you would know i like my job, i like working at pinnacle, and have been here just shy of 2 years. but i am not so in love with flying that i would be willing to take concessions to grow. our contract already needs a lot of help, taking concessions to get more flying that would jm, and extend us all after every trip would not be a good thing. i would see my 16 days off go down to 10, i would be extended and junior manned all the time, i would be blocking over 95 hours a month...

the point i am trying to make is that every airline has every type of person.. i know people here at pinnacle who would love to see this company go under, and others who think the pilots were greedy bastards for not taking the companies final, best, and last offer. i am in the middle. i want the company to succeed i want us to do good, but i don't want management to use their stiff arm tactics to bully us around.. we have had an amendable contract for over 2 and a half years. i know a lot of people want to do the job i am doing, but i also know a lot of people that will work here in the future, and those that will retire here, depend on us giving every effort we can to make this a place they can be proud of.

Oh really? I came to 9E with 2200+ TT and 800+ multi. 2000+ PIC Try again... :rolleyes: But you're probably right, with my experience, 9E was my only option. I guess with those hours, I'm not good enough for Skywest. You have no clue what you are talking. Take a look at our last final awards and see how many new hire bid for CA's.

I understand what you say, I just have no desire to fly the 900, I enjoy my job and I live 15 mins from the airport in DTW. The 900's are in atl so thats why i say what i do. I know what I would vote yes on and no on in a contract and when the time comes, if ever, I will do that.
