Anyone know of any crash pads in St. Louis? I have only found the one stlcrashpad.com or somethin' and they are full.

I know a good one that is inexpensive and within walking distance to the airport. It is right on Pear Tree lane. PM for more info.

If you are with CHQ, just use one of the airport hotels. $40,- a night with transport, laundry, and no worries. Worked for me for the last year, and I know a lot of CHQ pilots are doing the same thing. Just get a few inputs on hotels from your Captains and anybody in the crew room - you will be OK..

you could also always do something close off the metrolink if the hotel route is too pricey...unless you're with GoJets. In that case I'd suggest living somewhere with iron bars and security in case any other pilots decide to follow you home!!!

Oh, my bad, saw this post by you in a GoJets forum j3gibbon:

"I can't say anything about the work environment cus I start sep 17, you may too if you interview soon.

I'm not passing judgement on anyone, but I wouldn't share a crashpad with any TSA guys if I were you!!!

I don't knock people who went to GoJets with no idea about it's history...but people on this site told you what you were getting yourself into, and I guess you've accepted the risk your career choice brings with it. So good luck man.

It's just so crazy to think you could be making twice as much flight instructing (which is actually way easier) and in the current industry be virtually guaranteed a job in 2-4 more months with twice the 2nd year pay at a better regional and twice as close to upgrade (because I'm pretty sure only half your FO/SIC time at GoJets will count towards upgrade/hrs reqs for the ATP, whereas 100% instructing/PIC time would've counted towards those reqs). I believe you said you have 50 multi/250TT? Damn!!! I'm pretty sure you have at least 2400 more hours at GoJet as an FO before you'll upgrade...no one-year upgrades with times that low!!!
