I have four good friends that work at Pinnacle, one is in management. Each one says the same thing. We love the planes, the crew, and the flying. We hate the company because they hate us.

Even with all that encouragement, I decided to interview with them. Study the gouge and written study guide at aviationinterviews.com. The written test is a breeze if you review the study guide. I managed to do very very good on it. Most got in the 60-80 range. They shake your hand and say goodbye if you get less than a 70%.

The interviewing staff is very friendly and will make you feel relaxed. Be yourself, always think in terms of safety, and tell them that you want to work there forever and ever. Make sure your paperwork is 110% correct.

I didn't get the job because I'm low time (1000&200) and not an instructor... "Uh, have you ever had a job in aviation? Really. Hmmm" You should not have that problem. Plus they are hiring 30 pilots a month due to attrition, so they have a spot for you. I'll be payin my dues while you are in training =)

Good luck!

Does anyone know what Pinnacle's future relationship with Northwest looks like post-bankruptcy?

God himself is throwing his arms up on that one. If Northwest's pilots don't strike and management figures out that there are at least TWO ways to create profits (one that isn't working, and the other... INCREASE REVENUE > on-board internet for one, ads everywhere, paid personal baggage handling...) then Pinnacle will grow with the new Northwest. If the pilots do strike then NWA tanks, and Pinnacle will have to either tank too or start flying under another airline's flag, or their own I guess.

I'm in the Dec 12th class, and looking forward to it even as I am very concerned about the future. I don't see how any business can be succesful if the workers don't believe in or trust the management. I really hope they work on that relationship. Cheers

Love2fly....id appreciate an email.....is private messaging not allowed on this board?

love2fly 12-09-2005 01:28 PM

U-I pilot, what is your email and I will send you and email probably on the 19th the day I get back. I am am pretty sure I won't get back home until later in the evening so keep checking your email. Also I just bought The turbine pilots flight manual and am going to make a study guide with all of the correct answers from the book so when I get that done in the 3 or 4 days I can forward it to you.

If what the guy said earlier about pinnacle either growing with the new NW or doing its own thing, it would be pretty cool if things work out and we will hopefully get to look back and say we got in at the right time.

thanks for all the great feedback.

email

I appreciate any and all info. I too have the book and have been going through the guide posted....Good luck and I look forward to hearing your impressions.
Do you know anyone with the company?

love2fly 12-09-2005 02:45 PM

cool. One of the head guys at the flight school I went to left for pinnacle a couple of years ago and we all thought it must be an alright place b/c he left a really high salary for them. I have been trying to get his number to see what he thinks, but no luck, so that is why I have pretty much relied on this forum to get actual pinnacle pilots opinions. good luck for you and I

I am curiouse about something... I realize that industry is very shaky to say the least. I have a few former co-workers that got hired this summer. they were then afraid for their job b/c of the bankrupcy. now I hear there is a signing bonus of 1000 and if you get a loa from someone inside they get a 500 dollar bonus. how can they go from so bad to so good that thay can offer those bonus. it makes me concerned about sending a resume

U-I pilot 12-10-2005 07:16 PM

dont let concern worry you about sending a resume. If you get harrassed by them offering you an interview and take it, there is still no commitment....Might allow you to ask them directly and ease concerns...
Just a thought.
