Any XJT ONT people on reserve here?

I just got the word... going to ONT. Just wondering if I'll get to do much flying. I heard some guys talking about SAT reserve, and apparently not too much flying on there. Any info would be appreciated.

I just flew with a guy who hadnt flown in 3 weeks but he bid no preferance also. If you bid will fly you should do more.

Which flying is generally better... ONT or LAX? How about commuting in from SEA... is it pretty difficult?

I would say commuting to LAX would be easier. I think you literally would have about 20 flights a day.

that is true but be prepared to get a crashpad and because there are only about 5 commutable lines at lax. a lot of early shows with late releases for the base...

RightSeat,

I just finished IOE, today, and will be ONT based, as well. Are you commuting? If so, are crash pads easy to find?

Yeah, I'm commuting from Dallas, but have all kinds of family nearby. The only crashpad I saw was at the school house, $300 per month. What was your hire date?

Thanks. I'm going to jumpseat down, and see if there is a bulletin board or something in the crew room. I need to get the lay of the land, anyway.

I was in the 8/6 class.
