Everyone knows someone at SkyWest, call them and encourage them to vote. If they have questions encourage them to contact someone at the SkyWest ALPA OC.

Thanks for your help and support.

SKW won't merge the two labor groups based upon a few facts.

1. So he can whipsaw the two groups against each other.
2. If the two labor groups merge then it would become VERY Difficult for SKW to sale ASA down the road. An Airline with no pilots isn’t and airline. You could call them Jerry’s “Ace in the Hole.”
3. By merging the two pilot groups, JA will being showing little regard for his current SKW pilots; seeing that ASA will fight for DOH which will totally shaft SKW pilots. We won’t be placed at “THE BOTTOM,” but we’ll lose seniority.
4. Currently the overwhelming majority of SKW pilots LOVE drinking Jerry’s Kool-Aid (“Jerry’s Kids”). If he allowed the two pilot groups to merge he would end up with an overwhelming majority shift the other way to “Anti-Mgmnt.” Effective killing Jerry's other “Ace in the Hole.”

This all makes me laugh. The ALPA vote will fail and ALPA WILL NOT be in at Skywest. I told you so now and when the vote is over I will just reply back with "Told you so!" So rant all you want but in the end all you will hear is a bunch of whining from people at airlines other than Skywest but also a "Told you so!" from me. Have a great day

It looks like teamsters didn't work at your previous employer because your previous employer (TSA) has an anti-pilot culture.

However keep in mind that SKYW is much more like XJT, a pro-pilot company and voting in ALPA won't necessarily ruin that. ALPA is a success for a place like XJT, a disaster for a place like Mesa. It all depends on how management treats their people, and how the people react. No matter how ****ed of Mesa ALPA will get, JO still has the RLA and the devil on his side.

ALPA doesn't bring problems, crappy management does. Put your koolaid down and take a drink of that.

Alpa OC doesn't know a thing about alpa.
If you want to get some truth talk to the thousand or so MESA, TSA, ASA, and PNCL pilots who made the switch to NON-UNION Skywest. 90% of the OC has never been at another carrier.

No it was a tactic alpa used to try and force the pilots of skywest to think alpa would be their only option.

So what is the deal today? ALPA is going after our SAPA because it is management paid?
Does that tick anybody else off?? Or is it just me!

It's about keeping it legal. Which ever way the election turns out, the SKW pilots deserve to be represented by an organization that does not have a built in conflict of interest with management. It will be interesting to see if the "good old boys" still know how to fly......

Of all the illegal "wrongs" in the world to make right, ALPA choose to try and kill SAPA. Hmmmm, wonder why? SATAN?

I'll bet you a GAZILLION dollars that they won't give a hoot about SAPA, or how it's funded, after the vote fails.

Come on, you really don't want to sound like a sore winner, right? Nor do you want the ALPA boys to rub it in your face if they win.

Everybody has a choice, to be made freely. As far as I know, neither the company nor ALPA is coming into your home and forcing you to vote/not vote.

But, I agree with you. It'll fail, and perhaps by a bigger margin that I orginally thought.
