Talking Well the time has come

Well its time for me to start dropping resumes. And I'm looking for some info on PSA and American Eagle. I’ve used the search button and found some important info, but I’m hoping any of you AE and PSA FO's would let me drop you a PM on a couple questions I have.

Lastly, Emerald Coast Interview Prep? and Aviation Consulting Services? I know a few have had good experiences with emerald, but has anyone used AV Consulting?

Thanks

At this stage in the industry with the regionals begging for pilots and being so desperate... I wouldn't waste your money on "interview prep." Get a nice suit, study up, read the gouge, don't act like an ass, and you'll be fine.

just apply study look to what will fit you. The industy is hurting you can pick where you want to work these days. Find a regional that works for you and appy. Apply to many so you can pick dont jump at the first offer.

what specific questions do you have about Eagle?

Your question is about as broad as someone asking "So tell me a little about airplanes".

The interview I just recently went to consisted mostly of HR type questions, "what would you do if..." questions and very little, if any, technical questions.

The chief pilots that talked to the interview group said that they were looking for personality (works well with others), leadership (ability to make decisions under pressure), and customer service skills/traits rather than book skills. If we didn't know how to fly a plane we wouldn't be there.

Yeah, don't waste your money on those interview prep courses. Unless you have a personality defect you shouldn't needed someone coaching you on how to answer HR questions. Gouges are right on the money. Make sure you study them! PSA considers this as CRM and actully promotes it. Their written is up on a gouge at aviationinterviews.
