Average reserve times?

Anyone know what the average reserve times are at the regionals? Comair's page is saying up to 14 monthes and Xjet is saying 12 monthes??? anyone have any ideas?

For Comair I'd say its about a year or so right now to hold a line in CVG. In JFK it used to be around 2-4 months maybe before holding a line, but it seems like reserve time is on the increase in JFK as well.

Technically, I was on reserve at SkyWest for one month, but there wasn't one day I didn't fly, and usually I had four day trips assigned well ahead of time. So it was good in that I didn't have to be on reserve really, and that I easily broke guarantee. However, it was bad in that I only got the reserve guarantee for days off (10), and had to be gone and work a lot.

My reserve awhile back was 3 months after IEO at ASA... They closed SLC and I had a few more months of Reserve. Our reserve now is two months I believe.

So how many days do you get off now that your Reserve time is over?

1 month or less(if you are the old guy in class) at PHL for Republic.

Feels like a lot longer than that since you started. I have no concept of time anymore.
In other TSA training news, people junior to what I was are now in upgrade training.

Reserve time for XJT here at EWR is up to about 5-6 months, by my estimation. From what I hear, IAH is longer. CLE? could be over a year. The west coast stuff is shorter from what I gather. The thing is, being on reserve here is not at all that bad. Our reserve work rules are quite good, allowing you for example to fly a lot (if you commute lets say) or fly hardly at all (if you live in base like me). Unfortunately, it seems that reserve times in EWR are about to get a whole lot longer. This is due to CAL shifting flying to CLE, and the fact that the dreaded Q400s are due to eventually arrive. My advice? I certainly wouldn't base my choice of employer on reserve time. Go with the company that has a base where you live/want to live. I can tell you from experience that being on RSV while at home sleeping in your own bed is 1000% better than commuting and sitting in some grungy crash pad... even if it is for a while longer.
