flying w/o FAs
I have read that Big Sky and Great Lakes don't have flight attendants. How does that work? What extra duties are required of the pilots?

What extra duties are required of the First Officer, you mean...LoL
It means YOU are the F/A!! Go ahead and practice your safety-briefing now ;-) P.S. they don't fly with F/A's because the aircraft doesn't warrant it...Not required on smaller T-Props. |
Is it over the intercom or does the FO have to go back and do it similar to the method you seen on bigger flights?

Just like in any other Aircraft, it's all got a...whats a good word for it...personal touch!
LoL don't worry man - don't let that make or break flying a T-Prop for ya...if you want to work there, you won't be doing it for too long anyway! |
Closest to the cabin door? Everyone must must be briefed on that door

You'll walk thru and check lap belts, brief peeps sitting in the exit row and the person(s) closest to the main cabin door. If your lucky the autobriefer is working or else you'll read the script over the PA from your seat. That's how it worked when I flew the Beech anyway. Not for either of those airlines though.
