I have been hearing about something coming this week...if what I've heard is accurate, stand by to be surprised.

Oct traffic reports and retreating oil prices have probably helped. That's about all I've found in the legitimate new sources.

So is United really going to park 100 a/c if the fuel prices stay up? Wonder what that means for the Express side of things...

This stems from a news bit that came out a week or so ago. (see http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/sh...ad.php?t=18598) The article says that United's CFO pointed out the company has some 100 aircraft that are paid off, and could be parked (or sold) in response to increasing oil prices. However, to my knowledge no firm announcement has been made.
