Airbus A380 in MSP!!

An A380 is on the ground in MSP - parked at the Humphrey Terminal next to Sun Country. It landed around 6pm tonight and is suppose to depart around 10am tomorrow. If any of you guys are around the area I'm sure it will be a sight to see :D

Damn I should have been there to see that. Ended up having to pull the commuter clause because an XJT FA has higher priority

Please tell me only the FA jumpseat was available.

And I think Airbus is desperately trying to push that airplane on people. All that time and money, and only 165 orders. Not good for their future "Bread and Butter"

Yes. The flights were full and two of us were trying to jumpseat. I was going to take the FA seat but then she showed up at the last minute. I probably could have gotten on an earlier flight but the gate agent would let me walk down and talk to the pilots from my own company so they didn't know. So since it was full and the fuel had already all been put on I sat all day then went back home.

Don't be mad at the FA - welcome to commuting.

Sucks, don't it?

There were a bunch of dissapointed spotters on the top floor of the Lindburgh parking ramp, a few lucky people happened to choose a parking lot over by the Mall of America.

Not much to see by the time we got over to the Humphrey for those of us w/o airside access. The F/O missed the first shuttle bus to the hotel so I got to b.s. with him for a minute on the curb while he smoked a filterless Gallois. really :)

Not really. More time off for me. I don't have to do the trip at all. Drinking a beer watching a movie right now. Better than the best day at work.

The A350 will save them.

I don't think it's about the plane so much as it is the production.
