Comair bidding for NW Airlink
I've been reading news & forums on the net recently, I've been hearing that Comair is bidding for NW Airlink. On yahoo news it stated that Pinnacle Air was also bidding. Does anyone have any info on Comair/NW situation? As from a business perspective it would be cheaper to not contract regionals and to let the furloughed pilots fly the jets. It would mean that they would get paid less, but it's better than nothing. But if anyone has any information please come forward! Thanks!!

And about having contract carriers do the work - you might wanna read up more on the situation rather than make a blanket statement saying its cheaper to keep it inhouse...

Comair isn't going to get any NW airlink trips. Basically, Mesaba due to making hardly any money this year and furloughing some guys are going to try and undercut the pinnacle guys so they can try and get back on their feet. done.
