Ben,

If you don't mind my asking, are you CFI'ing? I have similar hours, but Steve Taylor, the head of pilot recruiting, told me they prefer current CFIs.

Yes I have been working as a CFI in the Minneapolis area since June. I did not go through a bridge program or internship though. Only sum what experience I have with the CRJ is 7 hrs in the FTD at Delta Connection Academy.

Hey Ben,

Did they heavily weight your CRJ sim time? I am a current CFI/I right now, in fact, I will be starting at a new place soon. I would be willing to leave if I can get an interview with around 400/17. Everywhere I ask I hear the same on the multi-time. But, would they interview if I had 413/30? Or did the CRJ sim, seal the deal for you? I am going to buy some more ME time after I figure out how much money I spend on the Rose Bowl. GO ILLINI! and good luck on your interview.

I know a guy that got hired with 330/17 so I think you should be fine. Send in an app and see what happens.

I see, well that is encouraging news. One last question. Who do you address the cover letter to? and to what email do you send it? Thanks in advance.

Go to the mesaba website and there is an online application. Fill that out, and near the bottom there is an area to upload resume and cover letter. I'd call and see who to adress it to, there are a few people in Human Resources and I do not know which one would be best. When I applied, I was in contact with Barb Martin and Kristin Braam

Barb Martin should do just fine, if not address it to the cheif pilot Dave Wilson.

No I did not even include that on my resume. I would recommend getting some letters of recommendations from former instructors and send your resume with those in.

...Ok so, Kristin Braam in Mesaba HR told me to call her to schedule the interview with Mesaba once I applied for my passport. She called me with the interview offer last week. I think she just got back into town today. I called her several times today but she never returned any of my calls, I sent her an e-mail as well. I really don't want to keep blowing up here phone and stuff. Anybody have any Ideas? Should I keep trying to call her or just wait for her to call me back?. She said that I could reschedule it once I do the passport "thing", which I have. I'm just hoping I still have the chance to interview.

Sincerely........"paranoid"LanderJ

I had the same problem kind of. I wanted to call her and make sure everything was still set up for my interview and she never answered. They are so swamped in the hiring department it takes a while for them to get back to you. If you e-mailed her that should be enough. I would just wait now for her to call back

Thanks, I have 2 other interview invitations with regionals but Mesaba is my #1 choice, so like you said, I'm just trying to make sure everything is good to go. Maybe I'm just being paranoid about it because she did say that we would schedule the interview once I applied for my passport. I guess I'll just let her email or call me.......
