Republic Interview Simulator Session

I have an upcoming interview with Republic. I know that the Sim is on the PCATD. Does Republic have a review session program (Like ASA @ Flight Safety and Mesaba @ the local FBO)? Thanks

the pcatd is a joke, dont waste your time or money practicing for it at an FBO. If you have microsoft flight sim you'll be fine.

take off.... vectors ...then direct to the VOR for a hold.... out of holding direct to the OM for a full procedure turn ILS..... missed approach....engine failure on the missed.... shut it down, declare an emergency.....end of eval.

If you're really worried about it, dig up a flight school with a Frasca 142 and shoot some approaches to a full missed in that. Handles almost exactly the same as the PCATD. The company does not offer a prep session...you don't really need it. It really is pretty much a joke.

P.S. - Try not to make too many power corrections.

Biggest thing with the Pcad is do not worry about how bad it flys. A friend of mine got wrapped up worrying about holding altitude that he forgot basic procedures. I am told this is what they are looking for, they know it flys like crap.

Flight sim 2004. Shoot the ILS into INDY over and over in a baron. EXACTLY the same.

Yeah I had a buddy that interviewed there...he told me that the sim WAS FS2004, and that the setup he had at his house was better than at RAH...
