How Long

DOES ANYONE KNOW EXACTLY HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR A PREVIOUS EMPLOYER TO CANCEL YOUR FLIGHT BENEFITS.. I'm asking for the fact that, I resigned over a month ago and still have access to book travel!! Would this be unethical on my-behalf or could I get in trouble for this:rolleyes:

ACEAV8R 12-30-2007 07:18 PM

i've had ex ramp rats use their benefits after being terminated and their passes were revoked while on a trip(one over in europe). Delta also charged them for all their flights they did after termination

OF COURSE IT WOULD BE UNETHICAL! As to whether you could 'get in trouble,' well, that answer would seem equally obvious. It still might be worth it to you, I don't know, but those were easy questions to answer!

Strive to never let yourself be in a situation where someone questions your integrity.

Yes it is unethical, and is the type of thing you wouldn't want exposed in a future airline interview. None of us can predict the stability of our position, but the pilot community is small enough an incident like this could clearly follow you.

(First time post... long time pilot)

I had access to the Trans States Employee Website for almost a year after I quit that job.

Also, on a more serious security note, it took them (Trans States) almost 6 months (and a lot of nagging) to take my personal ID code out of the SIDA system at OHare after I quit.. as far as they knew, I could have not been in the airline business any more, but still had access to the ramp any time I wanted.. haha.. just more fun in the Hulas system..
