If your flying skills are anything like your grammar skills you're gonna need it...

ExpressJet has it on the 145 side. They’re working for it on the 175. I heard sometime early next year.

Republic has AQP. From my point of view as a Legacy pilot who has a sim business and provides career counseling, mentoring & 121 training prep. AQP is by far a much more pilot friendly process. Especially helping pilots make the significant transition from light GA flying to transport category 121 flying.

From my experience working with pilots in the training process with a non AQP Regionals. It’s definitely more challenging and in many cases far less organized and streamlined training process.

I think AQP is good for pilots transitioning from the GA world, but can be kind of drawn out for experienced 121 pilots. With all the validations, lofts and check rides of the AQP program, it's kind of nice to just have one check ride and done with the traditional training footprint of non AQP shops.

I transitioned from GA to 121 non AQP. The organization of the process depends on training department. I went from Indoc to Line check complete in 85 days with a 3 week break in the middle. Non-AQP but we still had GFS sessions organized before SIMs, SIMs then checkride. The last SIM was a “mock” validation. If you needed help the company arranged for more SIM training. It was very organized and stress free. 1 oral and 1 checkride. Much easier than all the other nonsense. The checkride itself was equivalent to the AQP Manuevers validation from what I understand. We did a loft for practice after the checkride.
