I'm actually believing this that Pinnacle will buy us for some reason this seems alittle more true, wonder whats gonna happen with comair's -900's, keep them on the Delta side? '08 is gonna be one for the airlines thats all I can say....and Pinnacle picking up United flying seems plausable with rumors of Mesa being booted from United flying...

.....News is Trump wants to buy us and have us operate the "New Trump Shuttle" back and fourth from his new airport in Connecticut to his man-made island island off the coast of Bermuda......Happy New Years everyone be safe!

This is what I think will happen...

-Delta/Northwest will merge.
-Pinnacle will continue to be part of DL Connection and get more flying.
-Pinnacle will buy Comair.
-Colgan will take over DL flying for BigSky in the northeast.

yes
yes
yes
yes

all of those seem to work.

A little note to all the pilots on this new years eve. as i head out to celebrate i would like for my fellow pilots (here at pinnacle and anywhere else it applies) to remember that the business is tough, contract negotiations are tougher, and we have great unity in the pilot group. Keep in mind it is a lot easier to take a step down then a step up,, keeping together is what will get us the contract we deserve. Here's to 2008! Happy New Year!

Friend at Delta has heard nothing of the sort. Having 4 hubs that close together doesn't make sense. CVG-DTW-MEM-ATL. Latest rumor I heard was that we are getting Transatlantic 757s MEM-AMS at the rate of 2 per month.

Whats funny is most the guys on here laughing about us buying comair sound just like the colgan guys 2 days before it was announced. I haven't been wrong on here before as far as "rumors" go. I said we bought colgan 2 days before the announcement, i wrote on here the night before about the delta contract that we had got it, same with the nwa contract. my source has a 100% track record. Also in my list of rumors i never said that delta and nwa were merging. do i think its a possibility? yes. it just makes me wonder why nwa would let us compete with them on flights between mem and atl. why all the sudden are they letting us go against something they made very clear in the contract.. no flights to MEM, MSP, and DTW. and now we have one startin in march to mem?? We will see i guess.

Airsupport- I have always liked what you have put up and am not saying its at all far fetched (especially with our mgmt) but you never put all the eggs (in your case your entire reputation) in one basket- especially in aviation. We will see what happens though. I have been hearing the united rumor for some time. I could only imagine what would happen when dealing with seniority lists and such. O and I still want a contract first and foremost.

1. Pinnacle is buying Comair.

2. We will be getting flying for United.

3. We will be flying 900's for NWA out of memphis

4. NWA has relaxed our "cant fly delta planes into NWA base clause"

pinnacle is going to continue to grow by leaps and bounds while us pilots sit around waiting for our contract. The strike vote is in place and we are just waiting for the mediator to release us.. i wish he would already. uncle phil wants pinnacle to grow, and he will need a good pilot contract to do so.

I don't know about the other three but as XJ is already staffing CRJ900 crew into MEM it is unlikely that NWA will give away additional CRJ9 flying to Pinnacle, especially when Pinnacle contract is not ironed out. But who knows, anything is possible.

Best of luck to Pinnacle pilots for they deserve a better contract. I agree that if Pinnacle wants to grow, they better agree to a better pilot contract.
