SkyWest Reserve

Talking to a new hire FO recently at SKYW, told me reserve time really didn't exist over there. Especially, in ORD.

Input?

This has been true in recent months but from what I have seen reserve levels are starting to get to where they need to be. That's true on the jet, the Brasilia is a different story. Right nowI know a few guys getting Jr Man on the Brasilia due to no reserves.

crew support called me twice within 1 hour this morning on my day off to ask if I would help them out because as they put it, they were out of options.

I credited 95 hours in December... on reserve.

Come on in, the water is fine...

Ditto.

Looks like I'll be on reserve at least until the end of Feb, which would make 3 months for me at ORD. The western bases sit reserve longer from what I understand.

Starting Jan 1, 2008, I'm on reserve at SLC.

So far, through Sunday, Jan 6, I have 23:30 block (42:57 credit). I'm guessing I'll easily break the 75 hour monthly guarantee.

Seniority, I'm 2363 out of 2814 CRJ FO's, and 301 of 367 at SLC.

The two most senior FO's are at SLC and PSP. The most junior two are at ORD and MKE.

It's funny cause I haven't broken guarantee in 3 months, but I know a lot of people that went way over. Haven't called in sick or anything...in November I was only at 50 hours of credit. Must be my schedules?
