Jump seating

I have been told several have done this but though I would ask. I'm an Era helicopter pilot attending the Army C 12 course in Dothan, AL. Can I list with ASA and jumpseat back to DFW through ATL if I show up in uniform with my ID?

I'm not familiar with the program but the key here is are you CASS approved? If not you won't be able to list as a jumpseater, if your program has some sort of agreement with other airlines you might list yourself as a non-rever.

I've had a few Era guys on flights here at XJT. I believe we have a jumpseat agreement with XJT (and I assume ASA and others) but I don't think Era guys are in CASS. I may be wrong but I think you can only get a ride if theres a seat in the back and you have a jumpseat agreement with the particular airline you're trying to get on.
