MSP at this moment is the most senior base for FOs. The base is defenetly shrinking. If you are a newhire it's going to be easier to get ATL than MSP. In the last few vacancies no FOs got MSP at all. The last vacancy awarded was for may and no FOs went there. Also there's a list of bids for MSP already so as a newhire could take a while. I would say less than a year but not less than 6 months. If you really want MSP you stand better chances going to Mesaba.

How many of the 15 -200s have already moved to XJ? I know the first two showed up at Mesaba in November, but I haven't heard anything since. They were supposed to move at the rate of 2 a month.

According to APC 7 200s so far, that's probably very close, maybe a "Mesaber" will know the exact number.

Thanks!............

mesaba should have all 17 200's by fall. Class starts for new hires on jan. 28th. There's only one more class for the 200 after that until we take over 9e's msp routes (rumor).

Where is this list? I have never seen one... and usually when we take a jumpseater we just tell the guy to have a seat. Sometimes "how are ya, what are you doing on your days off, etc." Never, "were you a scab?"
Just curious.

There was a scab list posted online, but it was removed from wherever it was posted. It seems to be a sort of ad-hoc thing compiled after various strikes at various carriers throughout history.

Are you saying this "rumor" is that XJ is getting ALL the 9E flying out of MSP?

I would say that is HIGHLY unlikely since the route structure that NWA has for 9E is us flying all the planes through all the hubs to limit delays when one hub gets slammed on. A typical sched for MEM will have us doing multiple turns through at least one of the OTHER hubs. I have even had 4 day trips where I do turns out of MSP, DTW, and IND, just to end back in MEM (I call them hub tours). I am not saying MSP will not be getting more flying for XJ in leu of 9E but for the month of February MSP has 28 CRJ's and 8600 hours allocated to MSP trips out of almost 38,500ish hours total between all the hubs. This is also with 127 CRJ's on the NWA system. We had 137 at one point so I guess you have 10 out of the 15. NWA cannot pull anymore of the CRJ's from us until we get either a large contract (more than 24 A/C i believe) for another carrier OR they do a 1:1 swap for a CRJ 900 for a -200. I could see the total flying be lowered on the 9E side out of MSP with XJ getting the -900's and Compass running primarily out of MSP at this point. The rumor on the 9E side is that we are going to be getting some of the -900's and XJ is going to get some more -200's in exchange. We all know how rumors go though...

This may be a slight misunderstanding.

All 17 of the -200s transferring to XJ are/were MSP-based.

However, XJ is NOT taking over all 9E flying in MSP. It will, however, result in the 9E MSP flying being cut in about half.

As correctly stated, NWA cannot remove more planes than the 17 under the ASA.
