a better complaint is when a blocked transmission comes thru, then 6 people all come on and block each other saying "BLOCKED!"

My favorite was listening to a regional talk on guard to a supercub that had just bagged his engine and made an emergency landing in a field. The super cub was relaying info to the RJ and everytime the RJ would respond he'd get a "On Guard!" from someone who thought they were helping. Oh, and I haven't transmitted on guard either....this week.

I always thought that 121.50 was an air-to-air frequency. I guess you really DO learn something new every day.

well, maybe you can come over and teach me then...

anyway, i posted this because having acars on board, we do monitor 121.5, and at least 2-3 times a day you hear people making especially a call to ops on guard by mistake, and right away you hear "you're on guard".
i understand if you hear the same person making the same call for 2-3 time over on guard, than i would probably say something myself, but right at the first call, to me it seams unnecessary. anyway, like i said, just my .02 cents.

Hey, I didn't say I know how to use the comm panel. I've lost count of the number of times Tower has complimented my pax announcements!

A better entertainment value is when MESA gets consistently blocked on Ops consistently while requesting service and giving times. :p
