Default Attending Congressional Mtgs

I have a long DCA overnight. Do as anybody know if we can attend the hearings. Are they public?

They should be. Check the congressional website and then call your Senator or Congressman's office. Tell them you are a constituent and in town and would like to attend the hearings. They should be able to help you.

Good Luck! Seeing them first hand is a very interesting experience. Then take the time to find your representatives office and stop by to express your concerns about the industry.

In the hearings today there was an FO there in uniform in the background. It would be interesting to attend in person.

The Colgan MEC Chairman was there today, in uniform. Good to see.

There were actually six Colgan pilots there, in full uniform that attended the hearing. During the hearing Senator Dorgan's staffer came up to the group and asked a few questions about what we thought about what was being said. She then went back and told Dorgan about our comments.......

Very interesting. Do you know what was exactly passed on to the staffer? I would be interested to know if any of the comments were a result of senator Dorgan and the rest of the committee hammering Roger Cohen.

It would be good if many more of us can show up in uniform for the next hearing; it will show the committee that we are following this and support there cause for change.

The question is, how many people would be interested in this and how many can fit in the room?

Basically, the staffer asked if Roger Cohen's 'average numbers' were right or wrong. We made sure she knew we thought he was blowing smoke out of his rear end.

For the next hearing, might have a few things brewing .
