The CRJ's won't get pulled until I hit the line. After that, they will be removed at a rate fast enough to keep me one person away from holding a line until they displace me to the newly formed 135 MCI base that will "supplement" STL. Just you watch...

And SAAB et. al is right, post this kinda stuff on RP.org...that's what it's there for. I highly doubt anyone on APC would have any clue as to the internal going's on of CHQ and where their crews are going to come from to staff the CLE base. Keep in mind, the only reason it is a base is cuz they're overnighting over 10 crews a night there and they gotta keep those hotel costs down. That should qwell some of the XJT guys because we're not doing any "new" flying there...we're just making the pilots flip the bill for the time they spend there now.

Of course, you can never have too many Ohio bases here at RAH. Next up, Dayton!

About 4 or so months back I was flying into CLE with the #1 FA who's been here for 15yrs. Maybe 16 now. She knows everyone in the company. We were going through the terminal when we ran into one of the guys that's in charge of basing. keep in mind this was a few months ago and I've heard nothing of it since but we asked him when CLE was going to be a base. He said, "For us to make CLE a base would require us to shut down LGA most likely". Having been CMH based I never knew we flew CAL into LGA until that point. I had only done Delta.

No, Continental is requiring us to open a base there for reserve coverage.
